    Hello,

in my Dell E4310 I replaced the non-backlit keyboard with a backlit keyboard (have done that before with E6400, E6410 and E4300) but the backlight doesn't work :(
There is even no entry in the bios for the settings of the keyboard illumination!

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

    Thanks,
    Martin from Germany

Reseat the keyboard and see if that does anything. Also, try the Fn+Right toggle.

It's also possible that the keyboards are a little bit different, which I think may be the case here.

I have reseated it several times. It is the right keyboard only for Dell E4310.
    Still doesn't work :(

The keyboard might be defective...maybe you could try it in another E4310 or E4300.
