    Hey I bought a E 6400 and was wondering if anyone's right speaker grill not as solid as the left grill. I'm able to push down on it and it pushes in a little bit. The right one is really solid. Please comment!

    its probably because the cavity for the optical drive is there?

    Yeah. The right one is removable, while the left one is fixed, so it is natural for the right one to have slightly more flex.

    Normal. The reason for this is that right one is changeable, to allow a shorter grid to be used to allow the insertion of the finger print scanner... see this picture:

    Mine is also slightly more flexible on the right. I'm guessing for the reasons listed above.

    I have had to work on e-5400m, from what I can remember the one on the left is softer.

    The E5000 series are the low end Latitude's the internal layout is completely different.
