    Hi All:

I recently purchased a used dell Latitude D610 in mint condition. However, the monitor seems to have an issue with the driver. When I boot up Windows XP the hardware wizard detects the monitor and goes through its thing but then comes back with the error message "Cannot Install this Hardware". After I click "Finish" a bubble down by the system tray comes up and reads "Your new hardware is installed and ready to use." When I look in the device manager I see a listing for "Other devices" with a big yellow question mark before it under which there are 4 listings for "Monitor" and all 4 "Monitor" listings have a yellow questions mark as well. Could some one help me with this? To be clear I'm not talking about an external monitor but the laptops monitor/screen.

    Thank you,

    Carlos

Carlos, I have the same model and the 4 entries you mentioned, but the driver is from MS 6/21/2006 Version 6.0.6001.18000
BTW all 4 look fine in device mangler. :)
Have you tried updating through (search auto)
Does the built in monitor work ?
