For my wireless mouse (Logietch VX Nano), I need to unplug my USB receiver to allow the touchpad to work again. Their is no way for Windows or any software, to know if your mouse is connected to a receiver or not. So I'll be surprised if it works for Bluetooth. Then again, I don't have a bluetooth mouse or card to know.

It relies on Alps drivers which is only published by OEM. If you can find Linux Alps drivers from any other OEM, they MIGHT work.

My 3 year Basic, allows me to contact with people in Canada directly during office hours. Then again, Dell LOVES Canada, by offering the lower price than U.S on most things (except on batteries and laptop docks), and offer 3 year next business day on-site service already in (you cannot, not have it :D) So, I don't know.

But, which ever you pick definitely take Next Business Day onsite service. Totally worth it, as it ensure that you never fall into a situation that you don't have a laptop for 1-2 weeks, and that the job is done correctly, infront of you, and any damage from the technician is covered, from my experience.

When I aksed for a different laptop that question a little over a year ago, Dell told me no. But then again it might be a sales pitch.. but then again, he wanted to give me onsite service for free... soooo...

If you get a 3 year warranty basic, you can send your laptop to Dell for repair within 3 years for REPAIR. Unless something goes really bad, and can't be fixed, whcih is most unlikelly to happen if you send your laptop in.

Internal hardware repair is refurbished. Basse, palm rest, etc.. is new. Monitor I have no idea... maybe reurbished, like a display in perfect condition from a returned laptop.

Ask Dell, as this is a regional question, based on it's laws and regulations.
