I been searching around for a new optical drive(dvdr+dl) for my e6400. so far, there a two types of notebook drive that i know of. the more popular 12.5mm and ultra slim 9.5mm optical drive. which type does the dell latitude e6400 uses?

Im looking at this particular drive as my upgrade, but one comment stated below and was wondering if its true?
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106260

    Pros: Sata slim DVD/RW
Cons: Drive to thick to fit in Dell Latitude E6400

any recommendation on a dvdr+dl opticial drive?

    Did you search ebay?

Here is the DU-8A2S. It's a bargain if you already have the fixings on an existing burner which hold it into the bay.

I believe the UJ232AB is the BD Combo (reads Blu-Ray) & the UJ232A is the BD-RE (reads & writes to Blu-Ray).
