    Hi guys,

On the Dell Ireland website, dell.ie, there is an option to upgrade the screen on the Latitude E6520 to

"15.6in UltraSharp FHD(1920x1080) Wide View LED-backlit with Premium Panel Guarantee [add € 49.00]"

Ultrasharp normally means IPS in the world of dell right ?(Wide view etc...)

I think it's too good to be true because If that is IPS - the same panel used in the Precision M4600 - which is IPS - costs an extra 500 euro upgrade in the Irish store.

    Anyone come across this before?

    thanks,

Yeah it's not an IPS panel. There are Ultrasharps that are TN panels, so the name in itself doesn't mean much.

As stated, Ultrasharp is not IPS. Generally with higher resolution you get better viewing angles over the base panel, increased brightness, typically color gamut.
