    I've put together a two-SSD configuration on Dell's configurator (2x 128GB).

I've checked the online manuals and haven't been able determine if the Z can configure the two internal drives in a RAID0 set.

Anybody do this? If it's not available from the BIOS, anyone try a striped config?

This is the final data point I need before purchasing.

VGN-Z590UBB and some newer Z models comes pre configured with SSD RAID 0. However, the DISK controller in Z with RAID was shown as U-ATA. I think that is not fast as SATAII.

I am not sure if the other ones can be run with RAID by using the special Cable. There was a separate thread about the cable and installation. you might want to check that.

I have a Z591 currently, but this is a Sony.

Was the thread about the Latitude Z or Sony Z? My question is for the Dell.

I ordered the Latitude anyway with the 2x128gb option. We'll see if it comes in before next year.

I hate your order fulfillment system, Dell Computer.
