hi, I need a new laptop with a very good screen and long battery life.

I love the look of the new latitude z, with his pro style...

    I have 2 questions:

is the su9600 powerful enough for matlab works?
is the screen and integrated intel 4500 good enough for photoshop works?

    thanks a lot

ps any good alternatives with 16" screen led and long battery life?

Any CPU is powerful enough to run MATLAB. It's going to take a while to process longer/more complex calculations though. Same with the 4500MHD, PS will work but don't expect lightning fast response in larger models. The Dell Z is unique in that it probably the only 16" with such specifications. I doubt you will find another 16" with such good battery life. I believe the closest is probably Acer's 15" Timeline. Don't remember if MSI or any other company have a CULV 15".
