I'm hoping someone can help me out. We have 2 of the Dell M4500 ordered. However I can't see myself paying the exorbitant amount of money Dell wants for the 16gb of ram.

Can anyone recommend a place to get 2x 8GB DDR SoDimms?

Here is the link to the laptop in case you're curious

    Thanks

AFAIK 8 GB modules are only being sold OEM. Google might yield results, but be wary of Chinese resellers of "cheap" memory modules.

Hopefully not the case.. the problem is the price they want for them are astronomical right now.

Right 2 grand a pop is ridiculous as an M4500 can be had...for less than that lol. You may want to wait out on the RAM, they said 8 GB sticks might be available for purchase this year, the Samsung 8 GB modules.

jmv2009 found this site, but it'll still be about 1.6K for 16 GB, which, as I mentioned, is about what another person paid for 8 GB sticks from an OEM supplier in HK ($850 each for 100, single orders were $1050). No clues about how legit the site might be.

Yeah before I blow 1600 dollars on RAM from an unknown source, I'd check up on them...
