    Hey guys,

I have M6400 (not covet) laptop with WXGA+ screen. I am trying to find out if I can swap the screen assembly with the M6400 Covet assuming I get the connectors too.

Looking at the part numbers, it looks like covet comes with hinges assembled to the screen whereas my screen has separate hinges.

    Has anyone done this before?

    Thanks

I've never done it, but I'm pretty sure it's possible. All the M6400s, covet or not, should have the same base (though in different colors). As long as you get the entire display assembly (or are sure of exactly what's different in each display assembly), the swap should be simple.
