    Are they making a M6600? I'm thinking of buying a M6500, but if a newer edition is coming out, I might as well buy that one..

    The 6300 came out Aug 2007,
    6400, September 2008
    and 6500, December 2009..

    so it would be safe to assume the next series laptop will be coming out? Or an entirely new series?

    I would be surprised if Dell replaces the M6500 until Sandybridge arrives. Perhaps Q1 2011.
