    Is there anyway to see the part # that is being ordered, from the technician's screen?

    From what I've seen, you input the service tag and just select the part you would like ordered, IE dvdrom, dvdrw, etc. It doesn't tell you, specifically, what part is being ordered.

    G on Dell chat and ask what's being sent to the tech and they will list it for you. Worked for me as I wanted to be sure I get all the right parts for mine.
