I have recently purchaesd a refurdifed Dell Vostro 1015 from Dell. I like the computer overall, but I am having one heck of an issue with it going to sleep when I shut the lid and even worse when I try to wake it up. On wake up it has all kinds of issues and I end up shutting it down and restarting..... but I have to shut it down by holding down the power button to force it rather then a regular shut down. Anyone have any ideas? I have updated everything and run a couple of reg mechanic programs but nothing works.

    Thanks....

    1. Is there anything in the Event Viewer system log at the time of sleeping?

    2. Does hibernation work OK?

Be more specific. I have a Dell Vostro 1510 as well (different config) and I have 0 issues with it, sleep or hibernation wise.
