    Hi,

I am facing a weird issue with my Dell Vostro 1400 laptop's DISPLAY Brightness.

    OS Installed : Windows 7

    Issue:

When the power cable is plugged in, my laptop's display goes to the minimum brightness.

The Del QuickSet key (Fn + Up Arrow or Down Arrow) has no effect on the brightness.

I even tried to change the brightness settings in the control panel, even that has no effect on it.

However, The Display brightness and dell quickset work completely fine when the laptop is on Battery.

I would appreciate if anyone could suggest something on this issue.

    Sid:)

What are the display settings in BIOS? Do changing those settings have any effect on the brightness?
