Dell vostro 1400 Mouse not working

    Hii, I have a dell vostro 1400 laptop. My usb mouse is not working. when i right click it works for a while , but does not moves vertically or horizontally (not at all moving right or left). I checked the device manager and it shows ok. pls somebody help me to resolve the problem.
