Hi I got a vostro 3500 with wireless card dw1501 and removed all bloatware and upgraded all the drivers. Now I cannot connect to the internet due to limited connectivity and I can access the routers Web screen but other laptops can connect to the router and internet. What settings do I need to restore on the WLAN card or what do I need to do. Im pretty tech savy but this is doing my head in.

Is DHCP enabled or disabled on your router?
    Any encryption?

    If DHCP is disabled...

    Have you checked advanced settings
Control Panel > Network and Sharing > Wireless Network Connection > Properties > either IPv4 or IPv6
on your other machines to see if they have static settings?

If they do, match the numbers up and change the last number of the IP to something between 100 and 255.

deleted dw wlan utility and let windows take full control of network adapter and the problem has gone. Ive got dhcp disabled on router but only caz im using ICS through 3G usb modem from another computer. Set the gateway ip address of router as ip on lan and away we go. But it was dw wlan causing some sort of issue grrr
