Dell Vostro 3550 BTS looks almost perfect...

    also has £200 off on the Dell website, but why no num pad on the keyboard :(

    all of that space is wasted :'(

    Anyway, I'm looking at the one with Intel® Core™ i5-2430M 2.40Ghz and AMD Radeon™ HD 6630M

    Is this a good laptop for £600? How is the trackpad?

    Edit: guess I could go with the 17" screen instead...how much bigger is it than the 15" version?

    That's not even cheap! They're usually Dell Outlet computers. They buy them in bulk from Dell at knockdown prices and sell them on for a profit on Ebay. The chances of finding a decent XPS 15 on the Outlet is pretty slim thanks to all the Ebay sellers reselling them.

    Even so, that's a much better laptop for not that much more money.
