Dell XT2 Owner's Lounge

Didn't see one in thos forum anywhere - thought it would be nice to have a place to call home

Here is my configuration

intel 1.4 Ghz SU9400
128 GB Samsung full encrypted SSD
3 GB DDR3 memory
LED backlit display
6 Cell battery - Win 7 says ~ 4.5 hours battery life on balanced

What does everyone use theirs for? I primarliy will be using mine for taking notes and doing homework on - I plan to use OneNote extensively for all my note-taking.

Do we have any artists that use this machine?

What do you guys get for battery life and on what setting?

 

Generally you won't see tablet computers on these boards. The sister site, Tablet PC Review, is the home turf for those systems.

Anyway, my girlfriend has the same system, and loves it. Notes, drawing and just general usage.

She's really wanting me to install Windows 7, but I'm waiting for when I have time!

 

Yeah I scanned tabletreview for a while but there really isn't many people there, I figure I'd like to get the few people on here with them together to share advice about it, etc.

 

Sadly, convertible tablets have been something of a dying breed these past years. I'm hoping they'll make a comeback with all the hype over non-convertibles these days.

That being said, I've been trying to replace my TC4200 for a long time now, and owned the XT and XT2... briefly. Both have been somewhat underwhelming. Between the unconventional digitizer, the uSATA hard drives, and relatively low battery life, it just didn't justify the price tag.

Waiting to see what the XT3 will be like
