When I deal with Dell on the 'business' stuff, I get to talk to Americans. They're not afraid to tell me that they're working in Texas. Or Alabama. I've even called up a few of their managers and told them how wonderful it is to be dealing with people domestically. I don't get treated like an idiot either, or forced to go through some bizarre checklist or troubleshooting script before the appropriate parts are dispatched.

I once tried to go through the 'consumer' channels to get a warranty replacement on my Dell LCD because it was doing weird things during startup. An hour later, on the phone, and I still wasn't able to speak with anyone. Finally, after giving up on playing phone tag, I entered the warranty codes on my laptop to their website chat tool, and within minutes (and with the serial numbers off of the Ultrasharp LCD), I had a replacement dispatched to me.
