does the m6400 have a modular drive bay ?

just wondering as i dont think it does

i know it can take 2 drives inside but id still like to have a 2.5" modular bay for quick backups or for extra storage

and for those who question quick backup point i know i could do it through esata but i think its just tidier if i could do both

It doesn't have a modular drive bay, at least not in the sense that the Latitude has a modular drive bay.

The optical drive itself isn't hard to remove, though. It might be possible to implement a DIY hot swapping system without too much difficulty...

Yeah, you could probably even use the same device they have in the sticky for your optical drive HDD... just find an easy way to get it in and out.
