I am having an issue that I can replicate on any E-series laptop and on XP, Vista and Win7.

When using A2DP audio (headphones) the BT370 adapter will just randomly disappear. I can stream audio for any amount of time, 5 minutes, an hour, all day long. So it is completely random. It is no longer listed under device manager and turning on and off the toggle switch does not bring it back. The only thing that helps is rebooting.

Only in Windows 7 can I get anytype of "response" from the device after it has dropped. When I scan for hardware changes in device manager it finds "Base System Device." Then says, drivers for this device are not installed. After a reboot all it well again.

I have tested this on 5 - E6400's and 2 - E6500's. Tried Vista x86, XP, Win7 x86 and 64. I have 3 pairs of A2DP headphones (Nokia, Jabra, and Motorloa.) They all do the same thing. I have tried other drivers not on Dell's site.

I also have a Jabra BT adapter. After the internal BT drops, I can just plug in the Jabra and it will stream audio to any of these headphones all day long without issue. So I know for a fact that it is something will Dell's BT370 adapter.

    Any ideas?

Your power management turned the bluetooth off.
