    I cant comment on the screen quality when watching movies but this is what I can say in general:

    It really depends on which lcd panel you got. My first (including 2 replacement LCD) and the 2nd laptop had the Toshiba panel, while my 3rd laptop has the samsung panel.

    Toshiba = 1
    Samsung = 9

    Yup! That's how bad the Toshiba panel is on this system. I have both of these at the moment as I was sent an E4200 with the Samsung panel as a replacement and I have yet to return the old one.

    With ALL the Toshiba panel I got, there are vertical faint-pink stripes coming from the bottom of the LCD screen which is very visible when viewing a white page. With Samsung, it is completely clear. Samsung is also way brighter than Toshiba. Toshiba is also very grainy, which is not so on the samsung one.
