I have an E4200 with the standard SSD. CrystalDiskInfo shows it as a Samsung SSD Thin uSATA 64GB M running firmware VAM05D1Q. Seeing that Windows 7 has been out for a little while now and TRIM support is showing up on more and more SSDs, I was looking for a firmware update for my SSD. Anyone seen one?

Don't think you're going to get a firmware update just yet. Since this is a 64GB drive, I'm not sure if it's the last-gen or current-gen Samsung SSD, but either way, it's not going to support TRIM right now. The last-gen drive won't ever have support, and while the current-gen drive is supposed to support TRIM, but Samsung has not gotten their act together and pushed out any sort of update.

No, it's just Samsung really. Indilinx and Intel have had their updates out for weeks now.

Guess that is why I can't get a firmware update for my SuperTalent MasterDrive SX. :(

Intel pulled support for TRIM some time ago.

Anyone seen anything on this? I know more and more drives have proper TRIM firmwares.

Samsung have released a firmware update for some of their 2.5" SSDs. However, I can't see anything for the 1.8" SSDs.

Intel did not pull their firmware for trim support. Not sure where you got that info from....
