I am confused now, the V13 on the Dell outlet site has the i3-380UM/i5-470UM processors, although the Dell rep said they never came with them, only the V130. The Dell Outlet chap confirmed that they are the i3-380UM/i5-470UM processors in the V13 that they have listed....

Still cant decide between the V13 (dell Outlet i3/i5) for £400ish or a refurb E4200 (U9400) for the same price.

Wait that's not right, that is backwards. The V130 offers ULV Core 2 OR ULV Core i series processors, V13 only offers ULV Core 2 or Celeron processors.

The E4200 overall I think is the better machine. You get a standard 3 year warranty (extra for the V13/V130), has the ability to readily change the battery, and has a much better battery life. Processing power is going to be relatively the same. V13/V130 is a no compromise ultra thin notebook, but sacrifices battery life in order to reduce weight/thickness.

Going to order the V130 w/ i5-470, 2GB, 320GB 7200rpm for just over £400 when the dell outlet site will actually let me!
Then get a memory upgrade and SSD when they have come down in price a bit, if i find the 7200ropm drive too slow or loud! :)

Still not ordered the V130, Dell Outlet are not answering the email, and there is no direct number for the outlet in the UK. :(

Although they now have some E6420's in stock, tempting to go for something a little larger but powerful! (EDIT no longer there...)

From a bit of research, the Celeron u3600 V130 should be about as fast as the E4200 (SU9600) and can be had for £330, or £435 for the i5-470UM.

I would go with the 2nd V130...i5 ULV would beat down that Celeron and take its lunch money.
