Any idea if Dell will ever release an updated GPU driver to support Flash 10.1 hardware acceleration?

    Currently the driver is 8.15.10.1855.

EDIT: Never mind. According to the Adobe release notes PDF, support starts with driver version 8.15.10.2021. Looks like we're outta luck until Dell releases a newer driver.

My E4300 works fine with the display driver from the Intel site (8.15.10.2021, at the moment). Haven't tried Flash 10.1 on it though.

The only issue is, Dell Control Point doesn't like the Intel Driver.

If you don't use the Dell drive you lose control over brightness.

I'm using the intel driver, and my ambient light sensor, and manual brightness adjustments all work fine.

Hmm, interesting. I will have to give this a try once 10.1 is officially released.

They must have changed something from before because when I tried to use Intel's GMA driver and also use Dell Control Point, it didn't work too well, but as soon as I installed Dell's GMA driver all was normal again.

If I have the ambient light sensor disabled, I can't adjust brightness. It's a quirk that I've just dealt with in exchange for the better Intel driver.

Yeah, I thought there was SOME issue with it.

    Thanks for the update.

I have flash 10.1 installed. playing a 1080p video from youtube cause the cpu to peg at 100% and the video to stutter badly after about 15 to 20 seconds.

    I have the P9600 2.53ghz cpu, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd, intel 6300n wifi. running win 7 ultimate x64.

Playing 1080p from a usb bluray drive has no issues. cpu runs at about 50% to 60%.
