E4600, should I buy a 9-cell battery? Do people buy 6-cells?

I'm looking to add more battery life to my laptop by going with a 9-cell. I'm just wondering if there's a market for the 6-cell battery. If not, I'll just stay with the 6-cell.

How much battery time do you want? It is possible to squeeze up to one hour per cell if you have a configuration with the P series CPU and Intel GPU. T series CPU and nVidia GPU can reduce the run time by about 1/3rd.

The 9 cell adds weight and sticks out a bit more at the back. I opted for the 6 cell and, so far, it has done me OK and gives more than twice the run time of my previous notebook.

There's always a market for these kind of things, it just depends on the price. I see 'em going for between $50 and $25, though these are claimed to be new. I venture you could get only slightly less than that if the battery's been used lightly.

Don't you have a FS thread for this thing, though?

    Also, E6400.

yeah, i have the T9400 and Nvidia GPU. I haven't ran into a situation where I NEED the extra battery life, but to have more would always be good :)

Yes, I do have this laptop up for sale, but now I've decided to keep it. I would prefer to maybe do a trade or sell it and get a lower spec'd E6400 with the P processor and Intel GPU, but I'll be giving up this laptop that I know works fine and looks brand new for a used one with an unknown history.

Those are non-Dell batteries from a cheap Chinese manufacturer selling on eBay? I say not worth the hassle (and probable low quality merchandise you'll buy.

Think about it...sell better than original batteries, but it is genuine? What?
