E5400 control panal issue

    A bunch of my friends have e5400 latitudes, and everytime their computer turns on the control panal pops up.

    Same thing when it comes out of sleep mode.

    They are all running win XP.

    Any idea what could be causing this?

    Do you mean the Windows Control Panel or Dell ControlPoint?

    If the latter then I would uninstall DCP then reinstall the latest version with only those modules that are needed. It may pop up if it thinks something needs configuring.
