    Dear all,

I'm considering getting an E5420 or E6420 for myself while I'm in the US on business next week.

I knew the PSU's for the D630 generation. These always had:
    • True global multi-voltage (110V-240V) PSU's
    • "C5" style connectors on the PSU itself, making it trivial to change the PSU-to-wall-socket cable, and thereby switch the wall socket power plug. (See the C5 plug at IEC 60320 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )

Can someone here confirm or deny whether the currently shipping American E5420 and E6420 PSUs still use the C5 plug, and still are multi-voltage?

    Thanks! :)

My E6420 comes with a Dell p/n YY20N AC power adapter. It does say 120~240VAC and has a C5-looking connector. Couldn't really say if that's sufficient enough for it to be considered usable on a full-time basis internationally, though. Worst case, you could always buy the power adapter locally.
