I wouldn't recommend upgrading the CPU. It will neither be productive nor cost-effective. Unless you're running a very low-end one, which you aren't, a CPU upgrade likely won't make any noticeable difference. If you really want to upgrade and are running a 64-bit OS, 6GB RAM will be a better use of your money.
