My HDD model is Seagate ST9250421ASG and when i attempt to check it with seatool it says no controller was found. I preform Dell Diagnostic and no problem were found. I don't have specific problem with my drive performance; but why SeaTool and firmware update utility don't detect my HDD?

How recent is Seatools? It may not recognise the AHCI drive controller.

Try going into the BIOS > System Configuration > SATA Operation and change the setting to ATA.

Note that after running Seatools you will probably need to change the setting back to whatever it was.

    1. You might be able to create a bootable CD using the DOS Seatools.

    2. This thread gives guidance on how to get your Windows to load if the HDD mode is changed.
