    Guys,

If you are on Windows7, which Nvidia driver are you using?

The latest from nvidia site seems to be a bit slow and not fast. Any recommendations?

Well remember that it's hard for us to know what is this "fast" statement.
    What is your problem precisely?

After extensive use i noticed my fan stays on all the time and battery life sucks, i uninstalled Windows 7 beta drivers and now it's better, i'm also looking for a better driver to install now.

    You want to try something.
Check out my tool I made Nv GPU Pro, found here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=368384

It allows you to change the behavior of Nvidia PowerMizer technology (among other things). That is the the technology that downclock your GPU when idle (or browsing folders). What you can do with my tool is that you set so that PowerMizer is enabled when on battery but disable it when you plug your system in. My tool is not a software that runs on the background to do this. You just run change what you want, restart your computer to load the settings by the nvidia drivers and you are set. All info is in the link above.
I will have version 2.0 coming real shortly, but it won't offer new features, only support for the 186 series drivers, and mostly tweaks for me, to make it easier to add new features for me, backup system, and some interface bug fixes, that does not touch functionality.

If you are interested in version 2.0 preview, PM me, but again, the current version does just the same.

Of course, you must remember that you use my software at your own risk. Also, if you disable PowerMizer, that the system will naturally heat more while it's disabled, as it goes full power, so expect the fan to run.
