    Hi,
    i know that this thread is banned by dell ;-)
    "E6400 overheating throttling"


    Could you tell me:
    1) Does this problem concern dell e6400 with Intel graphics card ?
    2) How can i monitoring temp of Intel GMA 4500HD on windows 7 (additional software)
    3) How to do easy test of my E6400 has overheating throttling problem ?


    Additional info:
    Dell 6400
    CPU : P9500
    GRAPHICS CARD : Intel 4500HD
    OS : Windows 7
    BIOS : A19
    HD : SSD 64GB

    The main NBR discussion is in this thread, but various BIOS updates have progressively reduced the problem with the latest BIOS (A19) the latest improvement as noted here.

    You can easily see if throttling is occurring - the CPU speed reduces. RMClock will show CPU speed and throttling.

    However, it is very unlikely that you will experience throttling with the Intel GPU onboard. I think I saw it once, about 6 months ago. You can use RMClock to disable the throttling, should it occur.
