I just reinstalled Vista Business. There is a software CD for reinstalling "Dell Webcam Central for Business." Do I have to install this to get my webcam to work, or is there something already built into Windows that will allow me to do this?

I will also shortly be upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate. Would that take care of my webcam needs?

My E6400's webcam works in Skype (not that I every use it) under Windows 7 without installing the Webcam Central software. IIRC, the software provides some additional camera controls (eg tilt).

the webcam drivers can be detected by win 7 & vista but
the webcam application should be downloaded from dell's support page

Currently for Windows 7, Dell has not listed anything regarding the webcam.

Though, in Windows 7, it seems to be detected just fine(nothing to install), as it works for me in all the apps I use. Even Flash apps on the web.
