I purchased both at the same time, 1 yr ago. When I'm in my office I'm docked and connected to the U2711 via Displayport.

A few days ago these flashing lines started to appear on the monitor, but only on the right half of the display.

The fellow at Dell support seems to think that it is a monitor issue, rather than an issue with the E6410 or the connector, and is going to ship another monitor for me to try.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

If the issue does not happen on the laptop screen and using another laptop with it produces the same result, it's the LCD.

That does indeed look like a failing monitor. Failed lcd matrix driver transistor.

    Thanks much.

A replacement monitor has arrived from Dell and it works fine.

(BTW, I think that the warranty expired yesterday).
