e6410 DVD-RW HITACHI GU10N or GU40N ?? Thanks

Hi,
quick question to you Latitude e6410 owners.
My e6410 came without DVD-RW and I am looking for a burner..
What it used in these machines Hitachi GU10N or GU40N... or are they same?
Dell's WEB site has drivers for Hitachi GU40N which leads me to thinking that this might be the correct drive...
Then I am thinking they may be identical and the GU40N ... may be just Hitachi model for Dell with different pull mechanism from the laptop's case... oterwise completely same ??
What do you think?
Also GU10N possible buy everywhere... GU40N... cannot find... which again leads me to thinking GU40N.. is just Dell number..

I can't recommend the GU10N. The one in my E6410 doesn't like to burn many of the media that the PLDS burner in my E6400 would burn without problems. It may just need a firmware update that Dell are slow to release but, at the moment, I am planning to ask Dell to replace the GU10N next time I am at home.

Also if you know which ones are the best burners for this machine?

Do you believe the GU10N and GU40N are identical expect maybe the chassis release mechanism?
Did you apply the firmware update A102, A02 for GU40N ? (Release date 8/27/2010) from Dell's Web?

I'm not planning to try applying the GU40N firmware to the GU10N. I have seen reference to another GU10N firmware on the internet but one doesn't know if there are different variants of the burner. It will be safer to ask Dell for a replacement. Given the choice I would tend to go for Liteon since optical drives form a significant part of their business so they have more incentive to produce trouble-free burners.
