I know the 6420 is a refresh of the 6410 with a few other features but I wanted your opinion on what I should do. My office currently has 13 D830's, two of them have been replaced with E6410's from the outlet. I am looking to purchase an additional 5 laptops from the outlet. I have been looking at the stock of 6410's is getting low but the stock of 6420's is getting larger every day.

Should I stick with the 10's since I already have two in the office or should I go with the newer 20's since they are the current model?

Also the E-Port docks should work with any E series latitude correct?

    Thank you!

The E6420 is more than a refresh. It is a different shape and size from the E6410 (and has put on weight in the process). If you do not need the latest hardware inside plus slightly better battery performance then users may prefer the E6410's 16:10 display.

The e-port will work with any of the E series.

On that note, there is also a considerable difference between the 1280x800 and 1440x900 displays, and on the E6420 the 1366x768 and 1600x900.

I would say it all depends on what you use your laptops for.

As for low stock of E6410, just constantly check back at the Outlet store, they get things in and out and update it often. I got my now returned base E6410 for 459 after coupon including tax + shipping.
