I have a new E6410 with two different noise problems. First I noticed noise when I plugged in headphones. If I use low impedance phones (27 ohms) it worse than a higher impedance (300 ohm) pair. I can imagine a lot of things causing this but wonder if others have experienced it?

The other thing I noticed is what seems to be disk noise, a kind of "tick tick tick" every few seconds. It's a 250GB Seagate drive. Any problems with these?

I don't know about the headphones, but have you tried updating your Seagate drive to the latest firmware? Sometimes they can dramatically reduce noise/vibrations. Make sure you back up your data as it can brick your drive if not done properly.
