I'm having some real trouble with my E6410 recentl

The bios setup is extremely laggy; i can't boot from a DVD, windows boot fails within seconds (safe boot takes ages to load windows files and gets stuck at one point)

    System Setup is:

    i7 620m
    4gb Ram
    14" 1440x900
    256GB Samsung SSD
    Intel 6300
    Sierra Wireless MC8781
    Latitude on Reader
    Win7 X64
    6 Cell Battery
    Dell PR03X Docking

any ideads or shall i call dell support tomorrow?

PS: i added the SSD and MC8781 myself

Can you pull the SSD and MC8781, re-install the OEM drive, and test it out? If no OEM drive, maybe could still boot into the BIOS. With so many hardware symptoms, my first thought is something messing with circuits. Perhaps also pull the battery and run on AC power.

First, I'd yank the MC8781. Then I'd yank the SSD and put the original HDD back. If that doesn't solve the issue, you still wouldn't have wasted your time since you'd need to do that anyway to send your notebook to Dell for repair or replacement.

ok i fxed it; while pulling the battery and ac power was of no help i removed the BIOS battery for about an hour; the BIOS reset itself (i had to redo all my custom settings) and everything is up and running again :)

Well done! You didn't mention any custom BIOS settings! :) Still, a troubleshooting tip worth remembering.
