The left speaker on my e6510 makes an annoying loud noise at almost any volume. If I push down on the cover, it stops making the noise. It appears as if the cover is vibrating or rattling and the speaker is not blown. How can I remedy this issue?

First try to determine what is causing the rattle. Then dampen it, perhaps by reassembly/bending of parts or by adding a dampening material... maybe just a bit of clear silcone sealant forced through the grill toward the loose bits and allowed to dry would do it... or a slice of paper material forced flush into a seam... or push a bit heavy/wood glue into a seam, wipe it off, and let it dry up... whatever it takes to dampen the rattle. Check the manual to see how to remove the grill for a thorough investigation.

Check for loose screws, you may need to remove the palmrest to do so. Worst case, just have Dell replace the palmrest.
