    Thanks for that crazy (in a good way) story!

    I did most everything you mentioned, but unfortunately, twice along the way I said "hmm, maybe now" and tried to put it back together and boot!

    Oh well, it runs great now, and just in case I'm being careful about my data!

    I have an 8GB card that serves as a mirror for My Documents folder, and I'll see if I can get a RAID 1 going when I get my ODD caddy!

    Glad to hear your computer is standing up to the spills....may I suggest a toughbook next time around?
