The anonymous mods won't give me back my post ('t was very long) I'll have to compose it anew.

    First, Forum Rules:

I don't want to bypass security please read FIRST!
I am seeking assistance with Dell's CallCenter goons

I have trouble as a mandatory software update (DCP Security Manager IIRC) deleted my fingerprints outta the TPM-Chip so I had to auth through the sys password. BUT the EMBASSY software set a HDD password when I regsitered my fingerprints well over year ago. The password isn't the same as the system password! I removed the system password.

Good news: I had an issue like this years ago on a D610 oder D620, I don't recall exactly. I called tech support and they helped me reset it all after acertaining my identity.

This time I cannot get them to help me. Has anyone had a similar problem ( Software messing with your TPM chip) and how did you proceed with Dell Support? Is there any hope or is my data lost?

I don't want to bypass security please read everything FIRST!

I don't want any posts about bypassing anything security related. Heed the rules.

I hope I don't break any unwritten rule that says "mentioning the rules is a violation".
IF I did break any rules, written or not, PLEASE tell me first so that I can learn something. If someone's convicted he is told of what crime before he or she is punished. Don't undermine that basic rule of life.

You could be my savior, I cannot tell just yet. Wavesys support (really nice and competent people) hinted towards the same so I might work.

I'll try that and update the thread accordingly.
