Hi all, I recently pulled an Ericsson F3507g HSPA wwan card from an LG x120 netbook to use in my wwan slot in my Precision M4500. No matter what I can't get drivers installed. From looking online, theres Lenovo drivers for the same chipset that don't even require a client with Windows 7 (I'm running 64bit), but whenever I try either the Lenovo or the Dell installer for thier versions of this card, I get a "Internal Error 23000. Authentication Failed. This Devices Cannot be installed on this Computer..." error. I've tried extracting the .exe's even to manually install the drivers but so far no luck. I'm quite stumped. . .

Also, The LG x120 the card was from was designed for AT&T (I even tried AT&T's horrible connection manager), and I plan on using this card with AT&T.

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: I've also seen people saying how they have to tape pin 20 on these cards? I havn't tried that yet but not quite sure if that was only a Lenovo thing. . .

Edit2: I taped pin 20 and still get the same error. . . Bios version A05.

maybe your bios locked the modem
coz i have the same modem pulled out from my s10 netbook and works flawlessly on my e6400

i just had to install the modified drivers on 64bit and sony ericsson connection manager

It's not the bios sadly, i guess that would be too easy. It's definately a software problem as the card works flawlessly in Ubuntu 10.10

I havn't been able to find working 64bit drivers to manually install it, what did you use if I may ask?

    Thanks!

Hey, I´m having the same problems here. I bought a new ericsson F3507g card and installed in my E6400. The card as found by the Device Manager but with no driver installed. I tryed to install the driver that came with the card, the Dell 5530 driver, but the device does not recognize the driver. I also downloaded other drivers from Dell Support page, but the same happened. The divice does not recognize driver... Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem?

Double click it and choose the Driver tab. Choose Update Driver.

Click "Browse my computer for driver software" then choose "let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". A new windows should appear. Click the "have disk" button.

On the new window, click browse and navigate to the folder you have extracted files. Should be something like "<yourdesktop>\3G Ericsson Drivers\Unified". Then click "OK".

Choose the signed "F3507g Mobile Broadband Device", the one with the certificate next to the name.

Allow your system to install the driver.

    Reboot.

I appreciate the reply, but still no luck for me, there wasn't an F3507g option in any of the drivers. I tried each of the other models and disabled driver signature enforcement even and it won't start the device. If i could somehow manage to extract the drivers from the Lenovo connection manager, I know that would work, but i've tried so many utilities to extract them to no avail.

Ok. I googled the file name and I found it on that guys Skydrive! Drivers loaded up and installed. . . and it works! Thank you soooo much.

Now if only I could figure out if this was the driver that supports Mobile Broadband like the new lenovo driver without a connection manager. I can use it as a dial up network, which is how i'm connected now, but apparently that new driver used windows 7 mobile broadband support, meaning shows signal and everything. I don't want to push my luck though lol.

EDIT: Under network adapters, i see a 'mobile broadband connection' but it will not connect because it says 'mobile broadband service not enabled', and it won't enable. I can't even find any info on the service with a google search . . . Any ideas?
