Hi i finaly got my new Latitude e6410. It came with Vista preinstalled.
I noticed, that the PC is able to boot to Windows in 10s. - Never had vista before so i dont know if its common.

I installed Windows 7 and the boot is just normal (20-30s).
Did i forgot something to install?

i cant figure out why was previous system so damn fast.

    Any ideas?

    thank you for reply.

10s is extremely fast by any standard and is exceptional for Vista. Windows 7 is meant to go through a progressive boot optimisation process which may shorten the boot time although I doubt if it will get as low as 10s.

Note that the more programs you install then the longer the boot time will become.
