I can understand you point of view, and doing the repairs would probably only benefit me for a few months to a year (hopefully). I wiped the hard, came with a 80GB drive and reinstalled the OS from the recovery disc and found no actually noticable issue with the GPU, screen seems a little dim. Plus as it turns out the adapter he provided is an 85 Watt, not the 130 watt that is needed, so I can charge the battery, and run it on the battery and test it out, but can not run it with the current adapter. Well, looking at my standard fee for OS recovery/drivers, $55, I paid $330 for the M90 notebook. So, the X1400 Mobility is an option for the M90?? What is the ram size on the GPU? I am still debating about spending the money, granted it is a old tech, but would still be good for everyday use and some low end gaming, if I replace the GPU. Spending $700-750 for a M6400 is really not an option, when I can just replace the GPU for $160. One of the reasons, I would like to replace the CPU is to run X64 bit OS. Of course, this is all "up in the air". I will think about the options. The final option is just to sell it as is and see what I can get for it.

I considered the aspect of just selling for Parts and when I look at the selling price for one of these, I found that "YEAH" buying a "used" and "working" M90 is cheaper then repairing and upgrading it. Na, I think I will just stick to my X200 and X200T, and keep this on the side, should I want to watch a movie/video, until the GPU really go out. I would like to use this one as my main notebook, due the screen size, so I will hold on to it and let it live it's life out as a compliment to my other notebooks & PC. Thanks for all the advise and suggestions.
