Hi! I have a Dell Vostro V130, 13.3", i3, 32bit Windows 7 Pro. Love this laptop so much and its been 2 months since i bought it. But there's one problem a week after I bought it. Can someone help me, what is wrong with my laptop?

Sometimes this happen after sleep mode or after the display is turn off when I closed the lid(see pic attached). Send it to my local dealer, they change the motherboard, but still, same thing happen to the my laptop. Twice the dealer change the motherboard. Did try to do a reformat, didn't work.

Can someone help me what cause this and how to fix it?

    Thanks

Does it display the artifacts externally? If it doesn't then you have a defective LCD.

You mean does it show if I connect to external display, like on to a flat screen?

And it disappear if I click "refresh" or click the "show desktop" buttons

Yes, if you connect it to an external monitor and it is doing the same thing then you have a motherboard/driver issue, if not then your LCD is defective. Likely what you have is a driver/motherboard issue if refreshing makes it disappear. Get the latest Intel drivers from Intel's website.

I had that exact sort of thing started happening on my ASUS UL20FT after Windows Update upgraded the Intel graphics drivers a few months back. It would look corrupt when you got back in from resume, but you could refresh it and it would be fine. My Latitude doesn't get that sort of thing, though.

I would actually recommend going to the Dell support site and grab the Intel drivers from there.

Okay I checked the Dell support site and Intel site, manage to download the "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows 7" from Intel. The result, so far i think it worked. I set laptop to sleep mode and resume, everything works perfectly. No white bars on my screen. Thanks for the tips Tsunade_Hime and AlexF

Well that's good to hear, I'll keep that in mind next time I see that issue on a V130 or any laptop.
