    Hi all,

I have a question regarding the Windows XP startup. After the desktop screen appears, and the CPU has finished loading everything, there are lots of Hard Disk activity for around 8 minutes. The hard disk activity goes up to 100% and stays there all this time.

I still have the Symantec Antivirus installed. I have no idea what's causing this proccessing load, could be a virus? Anybody can help?

    Thanks for the help.

Start Task Manager and see what processes have high CPU utilization.
