I used to have an option within ControlPoint that when activated, created a pixelated effect on my screen which prevented it from being seen at an angle.

Does anyone know where I can find this?

If I remember it required the user to have a certain video card and software. Since you mentioned that you had this feature before, I would assumed you had both. Have you upgraded the control point software? Reinstall windows?

Best option would be if you could find out what control point software that came with your computer. Not sure what version of control point had this feature but maybe others members could point you in the right direction. I would try dells website or ftp.dell.com.

The Touchpad driver has a Privacy mode option under the multi-finger gestures. The two options are to minimise all windows or blank the screen. However, I can't get it to work. Perhaps I haven't mastered the correct gesture.

That's odd, mine works fine. Even when I don't want it to :).

Sometimes I just inadvertently rest my hand on the pad and all my windows
get minimized. So there isn't any special procedure, just ensure some contact
in a lot of places. I didn't realize there was a blank screen option.

That's the vital clue. :) I was trying to swipe my palm across the pad as indicated on the touchpad control panel.

There are foils in existence that you can apply to the screen such that it is completely unreadable from an angle. Not sure where to get it, though. And also not sure you would want it on permanently. :D
