On my dell laptop, i bought a new hard drive, and it has a load of space i will not use, so was thinking of adding both the recovery partition and diagnostics partition, But have some questions of how i would even do that. First, what would i do, just create a couple of blank partitions? Then from there i am lost... help. haha. If it is more work then its worth, then forget it...

    Thanks!! :D

Get a disk imaging program, image the old drive, and restore the image on the new one, enlarging the partition(s) you want bigger along the way. Done.

Doesn't explain a diagnostic partition though. Frankly, I don't know either.

The procedure I outlined will allow you to recreate all of the partitions that were on the old drive, including the diagnostics partition.
