I bought a Vostro 1510 with a CPU which has Intel VT capability. I made sure it had this as some Intel CPUs don't.

Sadly after receiving the laptop I find that the capability is disabled in the Dell BIOS (A15).

Is there a way to unlock it?

I've read about people dumping the BIOS, editting the lock bit and re-flashing the BIOS .. done on a Sony VAIO. Would this work for the Phoenix BIOS for this Dell Vostro 1510?

I do feel pretty cheated by Dell here .. nowhere do they make clear that they have disabled a key feature of this CPU that they do want you to buy.
