IDT High Definition Audio CODEC error

    Have recently had to completely reinstall my OS. After reinstall, I have no sound! The device manager indicates that no audio device is installed. Attempted to reinstall/update the device drivers using my restore disk, but was not successful. Any suggestions?

    What model is your notebook? Also, could you please post a screenshot of the Device Manager list. Are there any unknown devices or devices which have a question mark or exclamation mark?
